I would really like for us to get together earlier in the month since we have three new people starting out at such a busy time of year. How does Friday, November 6th or Sunday, November 8th sound? Please let me know as soon as possible if you all can make it. Thanks!!

Happy Halloween!

Ideas to get bookings

The best way to start selling Scentsy is to ask all of your family members to book parties. They are going to be excited to help you start your business. From them, you will meet so many people!

Have your husband or wife promote Scentsy at their work. My husband has a warmer at his office and has received so many orders from it. I change out the warmer every so often so people can see the different types of warmers and experience different scents. People in offices love these wickless candles because they are safe and able to be used during the workday.

Invest in a $5 name tag through Scentsy Success. I wear my name tag on a regular basis when I am out promoting my business. People notice it and will ask you what Scentsy is. I recently went to a local convenient store to take the kids use the restroom. The lady behind the counter inquired about Scentsy from my name tag, then proceed to tell me that she has heard about the product but never met anyone who sold it. She was excited about it and of course, so was I!

Know and study your products. People like to buy from people that are experienced and know what they are talking about. Take the time to learn everything you can about Scentsy.

Welcome Claudia!

Our team is growing so quickly, it is very exciting! Please welcome Claudia Freres to Team KC. Claudia, please take a minute to introduce yourself to the team. Tell us a little about yourself. I am happy to have you on board.

Don't forget that I am here to help each of you make your business as successful as possible.

Basket Parties

The most popular type of party is the traditional home party. I suggest that you all invest in at least one set of basket testers. You can purchase a full set of basket testers from Scentsy for $60. You can also make your own for cheaper. Michael's or Hobby Lobby sells small plastic jars, you can use your big party testers to create your basket testers. There is also another place that you can buy a full set of basket testers for $45 at http://etc4biz.ecrater.com.

To make your own, simply place your party testers in a crock pot with a little bit of water in the bottom. Melt the wax just enough to loosen it up (you do not need to melt the wax completely. Once the wax is melted a little bit, use a spoon or something similar to scoop out a little bit of the wax and place it in the smaller plastic jars. Place the labels on the jar and wa la, you have your basket testers. If you need help, just let me know.

Basket parties are a great way to let your hostess work for you on their own time and allows you more time to host other parties. I currently have three basket parties going at one time and have a waiting list.

Welcome to the Team!

I would like to welcome Matthew Pulley and Veronica Lespron to our team! Please take a minute to read the past posts and write a little bit about yourself so we can get to know you better. I do monthly training at my house and via phone for those of you that are out of town.

I would like to get everyone's input on our November meeting. Last meeting we had some scheduling conflicts, so I would like to try to set a time where everyone can make it. November is a very busy month with parties due to the holidays. I am not free on Saturday's and only free on one Friday, not to mention we have Thanksgiving coming up. How does a weekday evening look for you all. I am thinking about Thursday, November 19th at 7pm. What do you all think? If not, we can shoot for Tuesday, November 24th. Please let me know what works best for you all and I will try to work with it.

Great meeting

Thank you ladies for coming to the training meeting tonight. For those of you that couldn't make it, you should have received the training information via email. There are several items that I didn't get to touch on, so I will be posting them on the blog hopefully this week. I want to help keep you all motivated and help you in any way possible. I hope you guys enjoyed yourselves.

Congratulations Sarah on placing your first order!!! Almost $200 order and she hasn't even received her kit yet! Keep it up. Just remember to try to get all the information you can on your customers so you can follow up with them. Once they receive their warmer, it is a great idea to give them a call and ask them how they like it. Chances are, they will LOVE it. This is a perfect opportunity for you to tell them that by hosting a party, they can get free products as well as items at 1/2 off. Always be on the lookout for potential hostesses.

Thank you all for your hard work.

Christmas warmers

Have you all seen the new Christmas warmers? They are gorgeous and I think will sell! The brochures are available on October 15th and sales begin November 1st. My suggestion is to get them to all of your customers and potential customers as soon as possible. They are going to go fast, just like the pumpkin warmers did. You might want to keep some in stock to sell as cash and carry when you visit potential customers. Let's make this a great end of the year!!!

New website and monthly training

The new site is up and running. There are still a few glitches, but for the most part, it is AWESOME! I would like to get together with each one of you on a monthly basis. During these meetings, I would like for us to get to know each other, share what has worked for us, and give you information on upcoming events and products. What day works best for all of you. Shan, I realize you are out of town, so I am working on setting up a web conference so you can join in. Let me know what you all think.
